*Please bring your dununs and stand if you have one. We will provide as many as we can.

Mamady Keita Djembe Intensive Workshop
FRI / SAT / SUN May 10 – 12, 2013
WHO: All levels (*Must have at least 1 year djembe experience.)

Sat. May 11th 1-6 pm 4 hours instruction plus breaks Cost is $80
Sun May 12th 12-5 pm 4 hours instruction plus breaks Cost is $80

YOUTH RATE: Youth 17 & Under: ½ Price
This up-close workshop is limited to 35 students. Preference is given to those who register for the entire Fri-Sun Package. Don’t miss the opportunity for an up-close and intensive djembe workshop with Master Drummer Mamady Keita. Focus will be on building rhythms from the dunun (bass drum) section on up to the supporting and lead djembes. This extended format allows Mamady to stretch out into variations, songs, and breaks which accompany the rhythms. The only pre-requisite is that all participants have played djembe for at least 1 year and have clear pronunciation of bass-tones-slaps.
